Joseph River Muskoka Boathouse at Sundown

The fall colors have not quite peaked as of yet but should be vibrant this weekend coming which is Canada’s Thanksgiving. There is a little island that sits out in the Joe River that you can see from the road just south of Minett, Ontario. The sun had just set when I snapped this.

Joseph River Muskoka Boathouse

In: boathouses of muskoka, in and around muskoka ontario, on the water

Is this for sale? Because if so, I am moving in right NOW! Absolutely beautiful!

Wow! Looks like I turned the lights on early.
Yup that’s Lookout Island, mine since 1978.
And it’s even more beautiful on the Island than can ever be imagined from the water. Bought as Crown land in the 1880’s by George Marshall (not related) for $11.00. The home was built in 1957 by A.L. Richardson, who I believe was President of the Toronto Stock exchange. Thanks for sharing this picture with us. Craig and Muriel Marshall
