Ice Out Milford Bay, Muskoka Lake
The sun was sinking fast and I wanted to try and get one more photo in before dark. I was driving across highway #118 towards Bracebridge and remembered Milford Bay. As I cruised down the side road I noticed this little creek draining into Lake Muskoka.
It won’t be long now until the ice has disappeared and us Canadians can don the obligatory, shorts, T’s and Sneaks.

In: historic muskoka, in and around muskoka ontario, on the water
This is a stunning shot Ed…dark and mysterious!!!
It is nice to see the water…but this morning we had another blanket of snow… :0( and it looks as though they are calling for snow right into Wednesday of next week!!!
Oh well…hope you and Cindy enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Cheers
Heather
It sure looks cold! Hurry up spring!
Amazing photo I live in the summer just next door to this property
Glad you enjoyed Milford Bay
We do have panormatic views from above
I grew up going to Milford Bay in the summer, staying at my grandfathers waterfront cottage. It was next to Riley’s Marina and Budd’s boat refinishing. My Uncle built a 40′ slide down the side of the slope to the water, the slide being quite an attention getter to the passing boats.
I so miss Milford Bay/Lake Muskoka…. my heart lives there…. hopefully the cottage still exists….
Debra, we are the new owners of the cottage you describe. No evidence of the slide – although other people have told us about it. We would appreciate more information. Thank you.
