A Little Bleak

I’m not sure what the name of this island is. The fancy navigational aids (my charts) are long tucked away for the season. It could be called Bleak Island as that’s how things felt as I did a Lake Muskoka drive by recently. Nevertheless things change by the minute in Muskoka so please expect a blinding snowstorm or beaming sunshine at any given time. šŸ™‚

    Wow…this is a gorgeous shot…

The weather everywhere has been unusual, so why should ours be any different? :0)

…my mother is in Florida and they have had cold weather for three weeks, and frost three times in that time frame…started warming up there last week!

Nice shot! I am surprised that there are still large sections of open water on the lakes. I guess snowmobiling or ice fishing on the lakes won’t be safe for a few more weeks.

  3. You’re back! Yay! Bleak, yes, but monochrome and pale, misty and true. Blue skies are beautiful but tiresome if that’s all there is.

The milder weather has opened some of the water on our lake too but not as large as the open water here. This photo has a very mystic look to it – a scene from some movie such as Lord of the Rings perhaps?

Great pictures. Keep up the great work. Any info on the Red Leaves development?
