Snowmageddon
If you haven’t made it up to cottage country lately and were curious about the weather, here is a photo from yesterday in Muskoka. There has been constant snow falling since the start of the new year. Great for the sleds but not so great for those wanting to travel the roads. Thanks to Leslie for supplying the photo.
Love your sight , really informative. It would be helpful to find out ice depth on Lake Muskoka
I have heard comments from people that the ice is still very thin in-spite of how cold it has been. I would definitely be very careful right now on the big water especially.
We were at the cottage (Lake Muskoka near Bala) on Jan 17 to shovel over 3 feet of snow off of the roof where pitch is low.
We also checked on the bubbler. Thought you might be interested to know that the water level is down approx 6″ since our visit Jan 1.

Interesting on the early water drop. I guess with the large amount of snow they are starting to bring the lakes down a bit early to hopefully avoid flooding in the spring. I bet the Bala Falls is at full capacity.
