Macassa Point
This is the Macassa Point boathouse on Lake Rosseau. I suspect this is a pretty old boathouse. I recall a number of years back it had a bit of a lean to it.
In: historic muskoka, in and around muskoka ontario, on the water
Years ago my grandmother had said this property was owned by the Neilson family of dairy and chocolate fame. It has fallen into some disrepair in the past 40 years.
Thanks Jim, I couldn’t find anything information on the property. Perhaps someone will chime in here someday.
I have many questions about all of our properties!
Those Nielsen’s like to have their son come up from American University with his roommates and cause chaos and break ribs with their speedboat. Hooligans! I say
Thanks for the comment. I wonder if the property is still in the Nielson Family.
Has anyone have an update on Macassa Point ?
My uncle owned this cottage back in the day…
My father owned the cottage next door although that was sold before the boom !
Are there any other photos available ? Of the stone cottage or the white cottage next door
I do have some up to date photos I’ll send by email
