Kicking off the Season

Yes – the ice is out, finally! Its been taking a while for spring to arrive and there are still a few dusting’s of snow in the Muskoka area. This time last year I had my boat in the water so I would say the season is behind a tad. Nevertheless warmer weather is on the horizon. I suspect this Easter weekend will be the return for many people starting spring cleanups and opening their cottages. This is a photo of the Christ Church in Gregory which is between Port Sandfield and Minett, Ontario.

    Hi
I just wanted to say “thanks”
I love being able to see the changing seasons, in Muskoka.
    Thanks

I’d forgotten that, Ed! It was early last year.
We’re pretty balmy this far south in Perth.
    cheers

Yes…happy to hear the ice is gone…here on Lake Nipissing it is moving around but not gone yet. Will be a few more days I think. We had a snow storm on Wed. of this week, as I’m sure the Muskoka’s did as well…the snow is almost gone thank goodness ! :~)

Here is something to think about…a friends husband told her a late Easter means a late spring, early Easter an early spring. Apparently it has something to do with the way the dates for Easter are chosen, the moon, etc.??? Take it with a grain of salt…having said that it is certainly accurate this year??? :~)

Hope you and Cindy enjoy the weekend…
    Cheers
