Off the Bridge at Port Sandfield, Muskoka Ontario Canada

Here is a picture taken from the Port Sandfield bridge exactly 2 years ago when the area was under construction. Port Sandfield is a very important historical part of Muskoka Ontario that consists of a canal that joins Lake Joseph with Lake Rosseau. There is a marina, some shops and a great general store and bakery here. Many boaters make the obligatory ice cream stop.

  1. Great picture!!
I was brought up on Lake Joseph as a child in the summer time. Have not been there in many years. I sure do miss Muskoka and the beautiful Lake Joe!
Been through the Sandfield cut many many times and visited the lovely little town. Hope and pray to get back for a visit in the near future!!

I spent many summers in Port Sandfield. We would swim in Lake Joseph then walk across the road and swim in Lake Rosseau….what a hoot.

Does anyone have a photo of the wonderful old Shottery Lodge?
