Off the Cleveland House Dock

In about another month this dock will be filled with people lying in the sun, swimming, boats pulling up etc. This is at the world famous Clevelands House family resort located on about 3000 feet of prime Lake Rosseau frontage in Muskoka. Its a great place to explore, drop by for drinks, have dinner or people watch.

My good friend Jamie forwarded me your link today and I in turn forwarded it to my friend Sharon ..so your timing for posting this picture is remarkable. I have many fond memories from this dock, having worked at Cleve’s for four years in the 70’s.Our cottage was right by the Joe River Bridge so I recognize several of your beautiful photographs.
Thank you very much for sharing and I look forward to stopping by your treasure chest quite often.
    Missing Muskoka from Ohio…..Dave

  2. I’ve never been but I’d like to. Why do I find this place slightly intimidating? Maybe the generations of wealthy Muskokans, the idea of grace and tradition, maybe I’m just being silly. Beautiful photo, Ed.

I love looking ahead…warm sun, warm temps. It was 2˚ this a.m., can’t wait until it is 25˚!

As staff, we dubbed in “The Wooden Beach”. …countless hours sunbathing and swimming from that dock. Oh to be 19 again. Thanks for the post!
